Galway Clinic, part of Blackrock Health, is the leading provider of private health care in the West of Ireland. It has 150 Consultants across 60 specialties. The hospital has a wide range of services including six theatres, two minor operating theatres, five inpatient units, emergency care, daycare,
oncology, radiology, radiotherapy, cardiothoracic surgery, robotic surgery, cardiac cath. lab. and ICU.

The following positions are currently available.

Commis Chef / Chef de Partie-Permanent - 37 Hours Per Week
To participate in the preparation, production and presentation of food for patient care, restaurant and conferences in a safe & hygienic manner and to ensure a high standard of culinary quality is maintained.

Day time hours, 4 days per week (any 4 days from 7).
The role:
• To assist in the organising and preparation of mise en place for meal periods.
• To prepare and present food according to standard.
• To work co operatively with fellow colleagues, practicing team spirit and contributing to the smooth operation of the kitchen.
• Ability to work in a busy, fast paced kitchen.
• Any other duties as assigned by the Head Chef.

The Candidate:
• Professional Cookery Course and/or relevant professional experience
• Minimum 2-3 years chef experience

Accommodation Assistants – Temporary full/part time positions

Responsible for the general cleaning of the rooms and public areas as identified by the Hotel
Services Accommodation supervisor, ensuring the agreed standard of cleanliness and hygiene
are maintained in all areas

The Duties to include but are not limited to:
• Cleaning of all areas of patient bedrooms
• Change ward curtains and bed screens as required
• Maintain a high standard of hygiene in assigned area

The Candidate:
• Previous experience as a housekeeper/accommodation assistant
• Passionate about delivering excellent patient care
• Good team player and communication skills
