Ireland's largest circulation local newspaper, The Galway Advertiser, wishes to recruit a Chief Executive Officer.
This role provides an ideal opportunity to lead Ireland's most popular local newspaper to its next chapter.
The Galway Advertiser is entering an exciting period of transformation and growth and is looking for a proven leader to drive this change, while maintaining the core values of this iconic institution of Galway life.
Key responsibilities include:
- Maintaining the Galway Advertiser as the preferred media of choice for the promotion of local and national businesses.
- Developing our online offering to ensure the maximum return for businesses who partner with us.
- Leading a dedicated management team encompassing all aspects of newspaper and digital publishing.
- Identifying non-core activities for future company expansion.
The ideal candidate will have:
- A proven leadership record at a senior level in a media, retail or similar organisation.
- A strong commercial and financial acumen, with experience of managing financial performance at a senior level.
- An ability to identify opportunities, provide a strategic vision and lead an organisation through a period of change and expansion.
- A customer focussed approach ensuring delivery for our large advertising base, and building and maintaining strong relationships with the Galway business community.
- Drive, resilience and the motivational skills to manage people and bring out the best out of our team of dedicated staff.
