I’m James Colohan, founder of Atlantic Music School in Galway. With over 10 years of experience as a full-time professional musician and registered London College of Music tutor, I offer expert guitar lessons tailored to each student’s goals and style. Whether you’re a complete beginner or an advanced player, lessons are available for acoustic, electric, and bass guitar.

All lessons can follow the LCM graded pathway (Grades 1–8 and beyond), or focus purely on playing for fun — it’s up to you. I cover everything from technique and fretboard knowledge to crafting solos, basslines, and rhythm parts across a range of styles. You’ll also learn practical music theory and how to apply it directly to your playing.
