Purpose of Position:

The Senior Programmes Coordinator is responsible for the oversight, coordination, and quality assurance of GAP’s programmes and services. The post-holder will ensure that services are delivered in a person-centred, inclusive, and outcomes-focused manner, aligned with the organisation’s strategic plan and funding obligations. The role includes operational leadership, staff supervision, establishment of programming in new outreach locations, stakeholder engagement, monitoring and evaluation, and contribution to organisational governance and compliance.

Main Duties and Responsibilities:
Programme Leadership & Development
· Lead the planning, implementation, and review of all assigned programmes.
· Ensure services reflect best practice in autism support and community development.
· Identify emerging needs and develop responsive programme initiatives.
Staff & Volunteer Management
· Provide supervision and support to programme staff and volunteers.
· Promote a positive, inclusive, and collaborative organisational culture.
· Ensure appropriate staffing levels and safe staff-to-participant ratios.
· Ensure programmes align with GAP’s Strategic Plan and operational goals.

Safeguarding & Compliance
· Actively promote a culture of safeguarding and wellbeing.
· Ensure compliance with Children First legislation and safeguarding policies.
· Maintain accurate records in line with GDPR and organisational policy.
· Support internal audits and external inspections where applicable.
Monitoring, Evaluation & Reporting
· Develop and maintain systems to measure programme outputs and outcomes.
· Prepare reports for the General Manager, Board of Directors, and funders.
· Contribute to annual reports and funding applications.
· Use participant feedback and data to inform continuous service improvement. Financial & Resource Reporting
· Assist with preparation and oversight of programme budgets. · Monitor expenditure in line with approved budgets and funding agreements.
· Ensure responsible stewardship of charitable resources.

Stakeholder Engagement & Representation
· Build and maintain strong working relationships with service users, families, statutory agencies, schools, and community partners.
· Represent GAP at relevant forums, networks, and public events.
· Promote awareness, inclusion, and understanding of autism within the wider community.
