Experienced Bookkeeper

Location: Claregalway, Co. Galway.  In-office attendance will be required.
Hours: Full-time or Part-time (flexible arrangements considered for the right candidate)

We are a busy accountancy practice based near Claregalway and are seeking an experienced Bookkeeper to join our team.  This is a varied role offering the opportunity to work with a range of clients across different industries.

Key Responsibilities

• Bank reconciliations and general ledger maintenance
• Processing purchase and sales invoices
• VAT returns and Revenue submissions
• Payroll processing (experience desirable)
• Assisting with year-end accounts preparation
• Maintaining accurate client records and documentation

The Ideal Candidate

• Previous bookkeeping experience
• Good working knowledge of accounting software (e.g. QuickBooks, Sage, Xero or similar)
• Strong attention to detail and organisational skills
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple deadlines
• Good communication and client service skills
