Commis Chef / Chef de Partie
Daytime Hours – Permanent, Full Time Contract
To participate in the preparation, production and presentation of food for
patient care, restaurant and conferences in a safe & hygienic manner and
to ensure a high standard of culinary quality is maintained. 37 hours per
week,Day time hours, 4 days per week (any 4 days from 7). Candidate
must have a valid permit to work in Ireland.
The role:
• To assist in the organising and preparation of mise en place for meal periods.
• To prepare and present food according to standard.
• To practice safe food preparation and good hygiene techniques at all times.
• To keep all equipment in good working order and report any maintenance issues.
• To work co operatively with fellow colleagues, practicing team spirit and contributing to the smooth operation of the kitchen.
• Ability to work in a busy, fast paced kitchen.
• To attend training courses and meetings as required.
• Any other duties as assigned by the Head Chef.
The Candidate:
• Professional Cookery Course and/or relevant professional experience
• Minimum 2-3 years chef experience
• Flexibility in work practices.
