Oil Jetty Operator – Galway
Are you looking for a vital role in a dynamic port environment? We’re seeking a dedicated and safety-conscious Oil Jetty Operator to join our team in Galway.
As an Oil Jetty Operator, you’ll be essential to the safe and efficient transfer of oil and other liquid bulk products at terminals in Galway Port. You will be responsible for monitoring loading and unloading operations, ensuring compliance with all safety and environmental regulations, and maintaining equipment.
Responsibilities include:
· Overseeing the safe berthing and unberthing of vessels.
· Connecting and disconnecting hoses and pipelines.
· Monitoring product transfer and ensuring correct procedures are followed.
· Conducting routine inspections and maintenance of jetty equipment.
· Responding to emergencies and implementing safety protocols.
· Maintaining accurate logs and records of operations.
What we’re looking for:
· Proven experience in jetty operations, marine operations, or a similar industrial environment.
· Strong understanding of health, safety, and environmental regulations.
· Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
· Ability to work shifts, including nights and weekends, as required.
· Relevant certifications (e.g., confined spaces, working at heights) are a plus.
