Software Engineer Developer

An outstanding opportunity for a Senior Software Engineer Developer in Galway for an online investment company.

You will be joining the Enterprise Communications team that is responsible for the design, development and implementation of the corporate intranet site –
This team is focused on strategic partnership with our business partners, and we value integrity, operational excellence, strong engineering, and technological innovation.


The team uses a variety of languages and frameworks and if you have experience in some or all of these, or are interested in learning new technologies, then this could be an ideal role for you! (e.g. Java, latest JavaScript frameworks, JEE technologies, Node.js, HTML, .NET, latest mobile technologies).

The Expertise :


-BS or MS Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or equivalent
-A software engineer who is passionate about their craft and has an interest and ability to learn and develop using latest web technologies and frameworks
-Proficiency with the Java programming language, JSP, Spring MVC framework, AJAX
-Experience of Web Frameworks like Spring and Web technologies like HTML, CSS, JavaScript and JQuery
-Experience of Service Oriented Architecture/Web Services – SOAP / REST
-Experience of or willing to learn front-end web development
-Prior experience of Test Automation or ability to learn about and implement full end to end test automation is vital
-Experience of Markup Languages like XML and JSON is desirable but not mandatory
-Database knowledge is desirable but not required
