Job title: Pricing Manager
Reports into: Global Director of Price Management
Job location: Galway City
This opportunity is based within a multi-national organisation in Galway City.
The successful candidate will work closely with regional teams and product line of business teams in order to set pricing. A strong ability to persuade and influence is needed alongside excellent problem solving skills.
This client is interested in seeing applications from people with relevant analytical experience and a sales/marketing background. This isn’t necessarily a role that would suit applicants coming from pure finance roles.
This is a permanent opportunity.
The responsibilities of the successful Pricing Manager job applicant:
Price Management
• Making recommendations for price changes for existing products as well as evaluate new products based on value and competitive positioning.
• Provide expertise in response to country/regional requests for pricing support
• Assess cost changes and propose price positions
• Develop price elasticity models & Pricing Research methodology
• Analyses internal and external issues related to pricing including: sales, gross margin, earnings, price band analysis, price water fall, product and customer contribution analysis, financial performance and other financial metrics.
• Track and a analyze competitive and industry pricing trends and conduct regular reviews.
• Resolve data discrepancies in order to accurately represent the data & information.
• Identify and share best practice across country organizations, conducting detailed impact assessments and sharing learning.
• Identify and implement projects to improve efficiency and effectiveness.
• Identify pricing tools & analysis frameworks to support country pricing decision-making
• Design analytical approaches to measure, test, evaluate and optimize pricing strategies
Price Assessment/Metrics
Price Data Management, Process, & Tools
The skills and experience needed from the successful Pricing Manager job applicant:
MBA/Degree in Marketing, Economics, Financial Management or a related field
10+ years experience in working in Pricing Strategy/Marketing/Product management/Finance Management in a cross functional & matrix role
Minimum of 3+ years price management experience
Prior Management Experience
Strong Project Management Experience
Value Based Pricing Experience (Leverage Point) or other similar tools/experience
